Young African American and Hispanic women are at higher risk for lupus, and yet their awareness of lupus symptoms and their risk is very low. Research revealed that this audience is managing their health symptomatically. Rather than starting with “lupus”, we needed to engage around symptoms—and help women connect the dots, realize when they are off their game, and engage their doctors. We created a video, microsite, and social content to empower these young women to take an active role in their health and teach them about the importance of listening to their bodies in order to take control of their health.

Lupus is heavily misunderstood and very difficult to diagnose. We created a microsite to drive users to learn more information about lupus, it’s symptoms and challenged them to keep track of their health and pay more close attention to their bodies.
